Facebook Pics Used for Ads

Spreading like a virus thru Facebook:

When you follow those directions it looks like this:

Most likely in response to such bad press as last week’s Mashable article.

What does this mean for Facebook. They still can’t seem to monetize or advertise using the info they collect while people are paying attention. I think eventually people might be ok with this sort of advertising (or use of their own pictures), especially if they were able to see the results. Everyone wants to be famous right? The problem here is that Facebook isn’t letting YOU see the ads you’re in, just your friends.
